Today we will be taking an in-depth look at the ScreenRay digital signage device, developed and manufactured by the San Francisco-based company Raydiant.
Raydiant specializes in commercial and enterprise digital signage solutions, with a huge emphasis on making digital signage not only possible, but quite simple for anyone with or without a technical background. I feel this is a huge factor in why Raydiant sticks out amongst the many other companies offering similar products and services.
You can check out their full lineup of products and services offered at www.Raydiant.com.
The ScreenRay device itself both looks and feels like an overall well-built and durable little device. The device is extremely lightweight and has grooves built-in to the entire casing of the ScreenRay making mounting the device to the back of a T.V. or display for instance, for quick and easy installation by creating a stronger strong bond between the device itself and the adhesive being applied.
The ScreenRay is powered by a small 9V DC power adapter and uses a standard male HDMI-connection to connect to your display or television. It also comes with an RJ-45 ethernet port, a K-Slot for a Kensington anti-theft locking device, a USB-C PD port and a power button. A small HDMI-Female to HDMI-Male cable is included with your ScreenRay device as well. I absolutely recommend purchasing an Female-to-Female HDMI Coupler as the cable provided is only a foot or so long.
ScreenRay Setup
Setting up the ScreenRay device was a breeze. In my case, I used utilized an available LAN port on my router and connected it to the ScreenRay’s gigabit-ethernet RJ-45 port. The alternative and more commonly used connection method is over Wi-Fi using the small adjustable antenna built-in to the side of the ScreenRay device.
To connect your device to Wi-Fi is as simple as connecting your mobile device to the ScreenRay’s private SSID or Wi-Fi network being broadcasted by the ScreenRay while setting up your device and providing the SSID and Password to the wireless network you would like to connect the ScreenRay to.
From there, your ScreenRay will display an Activation Code that consists of two, randomized words with a hyphen between them such as “XXXXX-XXXXX” or “WORD1-WORD2” for example. Go to your Raydiant dashboard by navigating to dash.raydiant.com and click ‘Add Screen‘ in the upper, left-hand corner of your dashboard. There you will type the activation code being displayed on your ScreenRay device, and a field to name your device . Click the ‘Activate‘ button and you’re ScreenRay device has now been successfully activated!
After you’ve gone through and reviewed the device’s settings by clicking the ‘Gear Icon‘, you can assign a playlist to your Screen and start creating and publishing your content to your ScreenRay. Each device comes jam-packed with tons of free plugins and integrations such as Instagram, Facebook, Google Calendar, Clover POS, and many other paid integrations while their dev team seems to be constantly rolling out new features.

Despite Raydiant’s customer support department being closed on the weekend’s, when I ran into a small issue understanding how to design a flyer using the PosterMyWall integration, my sales representative, David, quickly called me back and was eager to help. This all happened on a Saturday afternoon. I was impressed. Again.
Hands-down I reccomend this product and platform to any and all business owners wanting to add some wow factor to your space! If you’d like to book an apointment to meet with David DeMartini with Raydiant Sales, his personal calendly link is posted below.
